A big part of running a successful nonprofit is Corporate Governance, we work with our clients in these areas:
Board development and execution – BRFG will help the Board of Directors to 1) understand the difference between setting policy and running day to day operations; 2) establish committees and subcommittees and understand how the two work together; 3) identify specific goals that the Board wishes to achieve over the coming year; and 4) execute and restructure the bylaws.
Incorporation – BRFG will work with you to complete all necessary applications for incorporation.
Organizational audits – We will work with the Executive Director to determine if the policies of the Board are being implemented and if new policies need to be passed. BRFG will provide a document that summarizes the results of the audit and offers suggestions for improvement.
Strategic planning – The Board of Directors naturally has certain goals they wish to accomplish (e.g., to raise a certain amount of money per year). BRFG will help the board design a plan of execution that will help them to achieve their goals.
Vision and mission development – BRFG will work with you to develop a (or revise an existing) vision and mission statements.
Opepating Policies – BRFG will structure the resolutions passed by the board into a policy handbook for the organization and then work with management to create the standard operating procedures around them.
